Los Angeles Cheer Leaders

Los Angeles Cheer Leaders

On Thursday, April 16th, we will be visited by 16 students from Denmark! The Ranum Efterskole College has enthusiastically requested to come see our cheer team, as their students do not have a cheer team at their school. While they are here, they have also requested to meet our students and visit classrooms; therefore, they will be on campus on Thursday to tour our school and attend practice with our Ouchi Cheer Team!

JSA Conference

JSA Conference

Here are some photos from the Junior State of America (JSA) One Day Conference. Mr. Winnie and Ms. Kessler accompanied a group of Ouchi students to the event (hosted at City Hall) and our students were incredibly enthusiastic, poised, and eloquent. They represented Ouchi High School so well!

The day opened with a discussion between City Councilman Curren D. Price and UCLA Professor Vanessa Tyson. Students then spent several hours debating topics ranging from immigration reform to environmental policy to educational inequity.

Thank you to the admin team for supporting this event. We should all be very proud of our students!
