The Discover Scholarship Program
The program awards up to $300,000 in scholarships annually to high school juniors nationwide to support continued education and training beyond high school. Since 1991, Discover has awarded nearly $16 million in scholarships to over 6,000 students.
Requirements:
Has at least a 2.75 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale for 9th and 10th grades
Demonstrates accomplishments in community service and leadership and has faced a significant roadblock or challenge

The Sam Walton Community Scholarship
This scholarship is open to high school seniors and is to be used for your freshmen year at an accredited U.S. college or university approved by the Wal-Mart Foundation. You must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, have taken the ACT or SAT and demonstrate financial need to qualify for this award. Employees of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. or the children of employees of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. are not eligible for this award. Deadline: January 31, 2009
