The Barbara Wiedener and Dorothy Vandercook Memorial Peace Scholarship
This scholarship is open to high school seniors and college freshmen. You must write a brief biography of your activities or work (volunteer or paid) relating to peace and social justice, nuclear disarmament, and/or conflict resolution. You must also describe your plans for contributing to a peaceful and just society in the future. Two letters of recommendation substantiating your activities are required. Deadline: March 1, 2009
The Cal Grant Undergraduate Program
This grant program is available to California residents who wish to pursue an undergraduate degree at an accredited California college or university. To qualify for any of the three Cal Grants programs (Cal Grant A, B or C), you must be making satisfactory academic progress and cannot have a bachelor's degree prior to receiving a Cal Grant. Deadline: March 2, 2009
