The Dream Scholarship Fund
The National Korean American Service & Education Consortium (NAKASEC), Korean American Resource & Cultural Center (KRCC), Korean Resource Center (KRC), and YKASEC – Empowering the Korean American Community (YKASEC) are proud to announce the first year of the Dream Scholarship Fund. Launched on February 4, 2008, the Dream Scholarship Fund is founded by Korean American youth who have tirelessly campaigned the last five years for the passage of the DREAM Act – tailored legislation that would provide a path to legalization for eligible immigrant students who grew up in the United States.8 scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded to financially needy students who face undue hardships: 2 scholarships will be given out to Illinois applicants, 2 for New York applicants, 2 for California applicants, and 2 for national scholarship applicants. Deadline: All Applications must be postmarked by April 15, 2008

Whatever your passion Chevy wants to help you pursue it. They are offering outstanding students an opportunity for a $1,000 scholarship towards their first year of college expenses.
Eligibility requirements:
African-American students in their senior year with sufficient credits to graduate in spring 2008
Cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
Demonstrate both academic excellence as well as outstanding community service through activities, volunteering and work experiences
U.S. citizenship or eligibility to permanently work in the U.S.
Intention to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year college or university during the fall term of 2008


The Holocaust Remembrance Project Essay Contest
This contest is open to high school students who are residents of the United States and Mexico and are 19 years of age or younger. You must submit an essay of no more than 1,200 words on one of the topics outlined in the rules. In addition to the monetary award, first place winners will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Chicago, Illinois. Deadline: April 30, 2008

The Best College Match Scholarship
This scholarship is available to current high school students who plan to graduate in 2009 or later. You must be a US citizen or permanent resident. You must also be able to explain your ideal college fit to be eligible for this award. Deadline: April 30, 2009
