National Honor Society (NHS)

The purpose of the NHS is to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in students of William and Carol Ouchi High School. With the NHS comes weekly meetings and a variety of activities, such as team-building exercises and fundraisers. All members must also participate in individual and group projects that benefit the community and school.


The National Honor Society (NHS) elevates Ouchi High School’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These four pillars have been associated with Ouchi High School since 2018. 


Requirements to Join:

  • Must be a current junior or senior
  • Must have a 3.5 cumulative grade point average
  • To be eligible for selection to membership in this chapter, the candidate must have been enrolled for a period equivalent to one semester at Ouchi High School.
  • Eligible students can apply in the spring semester of their sophomore or junior year.
  • Upon meeting the grade level, enrollment, and GPA standards, candidates shall then be considered based on their service, leadership, and character.
